Children's Day of Peace

– a day dedicated to honoring children through joyful expressions of unity, creativity, kindness, and hope.

a park, a neighborhood, village or city square, every act of peace matters.

Rights of the child

UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

THROUGH THE YEARS

1959: U.N. General Assembly adopts the

Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

1989: U.N. General Assembly adopts the

Convention on the Rights of the Child,

a legally binding Treaty detailing the rights every child should possess in order to live a safe and happy life.

The United States is the ONLY U.N. member

NOT to ratify the Treaty.

Children's peace prizes

Children ages 5 to 15 are invited to register for a Peace Prize.

Founding Mothers are offering Cash Prizes to those who inspire us the most!

Entries must be submitted by November 30th.

Prizes will be awarded on January 20, 2027 - International Day of Education
